Our Sporting Life - Ironbridge- Sporting Heroes

Sporting Heroes - Coalbrookdale Gallery 

Created using our nationally Designated collections, this exhibition will present a new interpretation of our local Sporting Life including photographs and prints relating to local football, cricket and quoit teams, along with rowing clubs and coracle racing. Local sporting heroes and their achievements will be featured including Billy Wright, Richie Woodall and Captain Matthew Webb, the first man to swim the English Channel. Visitors and local schools will also be encouraged to get involved and contribute their own sporting memories, photographs and memorabilia to the exhibition, which will constantly change and develop over the course of a year.
