National Football Museum ready to Celebrate Sport with the BBC

In the run up to this year's Sports Personality of the Year at MediaCity in Salford, National Football Museum will be helping the BBC to Celebrate Sport with a fortnight of special events and activities. Over two weeks from December 8th a mix of live shows, exhibitions, tours and interactive experiences at MediaCity UK will give thousands of adults and children the chance to immerse themselves in sport.

We'll be in residence at the Salford site showcasing objects from our collection and offering some fun football-related activities. We'll be offering sessions open to schools groups as well as the public and working with the BBC Radio department and the Imperial War Museum North on a very special project. Over the fortnight there'll be special versions of BBC Sport programmes with live studio audiences, a Christmas concert with the BBC Philharmonic and the Manchester United Foundation Youth Choir, special events with Match of the Day and Football Focus, interactive exhibitions, children's activities and much more.
